The IGT Terre Lariane Consortium bottles the quality of Lake Como

Around Lake Como, there are no fewer than 19 wine producers: quality, patience, passion, and courage. These vineyards are pampered, tended, and protected like children by the hands of those who have seen them reborn, grow, and produce wines of exceptional taste.
The wines of Lake Como, part of the IGT Terre Lariane Consortium, are products of excellence. Particular praise goes to the perseverance of the operators and growers who believed in their land and in the conservation of their territory.

In past years, the perception of these products was not positive, nor was it associated with quality and care. After relentless, masterfully executed work, the wine producers on Lake Como have succeeded in capturing a story worth telling within a bottle.

Such is the story of the Verdese grape variety, which is indigenous and was once practically unknown. Through hard research and cultivation work, Verdese was registered in the official Italian database, and local producers began to use it alongside other more resistant but non-local varieties.

The result was the creation of a product with roots not only physically, but also through time and the past history of these lands; alongside the splendor of lake-view villas and the luxury of industrial cities, there is also room for rural tradition, modernized to the point of being the hand that caresses the territory. In fact, by maintaining local production and employing cultivation and production methods that are less invasive and harmful to the environment, these producers have developed a true system for the maintenance of agricultural areas around Lake Como.

Today, the IGT Terre Lariane Consortium is recognized and appreciated in Italy and abroad, thanks also to the support of restaurateurs and distributors who have built a proactive network for the promotion and awareness of these products within the region.

From reds with brilliant, almost ruby colors to whites with the shades of sun-kissed golden grains, and experimental rosés with an intoxicating taste, there is a story to be savored in every glass of Lake Como wine.
