Visit to Tenuta Pomelasca and Villa Sormani in Winter
WEDNEDSDAY 13 JANUARY 2021
Villago offers a cultural walk among the historical curiosities and the secrets of the daily peasant life of one of the most fascinating noble estates in Brianza: Pomelasca di Inverigo.
We will accompany you through the stories and curiosities of past centuries and, considering the season and the month of January, we will involve you in the winter life of the peasant families who lived there.
The absence of the count, the chilblains on the hands, the pork and the fatty cuisine, but also the search for warmth and the prayers to Sant’Antonio will be the leitmotif of the guided tour.
Visitors will be involved in a walk from the ancient silkworm market to the heart of the Pomelasca estate: the noble rooms of Villa Sormani and its historic farmhouses below.
It will be possible to get to know the most evocative corners of the count’s private gardens, bare for the winter, but wonderfully fascinating; but also to visit the rustic courtyard below, with the residences of the peasants, the stables, where entire families often found themselves sheltered from the cold, and the useful structures for agricultural activity, even in winter.
We will continue the path in the hunting lodge, from which, thanks to the trees bare of leaves, you can admire a spectacular panorama, and we will conclude with a fascinating storytelling on the famous private church, also called “red church” for the color of its bricks, perfect contrast with the snow and fog of the surrounding fields.
Booking is mandatory.
