Villa Serbelloni
Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio, a villa overlooking the two branches of Lake Como
Villa Serbelloni, not to be confused with the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni also located in the town of Bellagio, is situated in the upper part of the municipality. Currently owned by the Rockefeller Foundation, only the garden is accessible to the public on opening days via guided tour. To discover the charming garden and lose yourself in the maze of paths immersed in vegetation, the best choice is a leisurely walk to enjoy the breathtaking view of the point where Lake Como divides into two branches, where the rock of Bellagio resisted the force of the glacier that created this natural masterpiece.
The visit, possible exclusively with authorized guides during specific hours, leads visitors to admire the grace and beauty of the terraces that characterize this garden; the native flora, in balanced contrast with tropical plants and flowers that have found a new home in Bellagio's unique climate, together with the statues and small natural caves, create a magnificent scene that has served as a source of inspiration for artists of every era.
