Piani Resinelli Park
A journey through history and nature
Situated within the setting of the Grigne group, the Piani Resinelli Mines are set in a landscape of splendid charm. These are ancient mines, worked from the 16th century to the present day, and can now be visited in complete safety. No specific athletic preparation is required: all excursions inside the mines are guided, with routes and activities suitable for all ages.
The mines open to visitors are of Renaissance origin. The Anna Mine is the easiest to navigate, suitable for children and adults of all ages. Its horizontal layout ensures that the route is not too demanding. It is still amazing to find the statue of St. Barbara, the patron saint of miners, at the entrance.
The second mine open to visitors is the Sottocavallo Mine, arranged over seven levels with a central shaft that allows a view of the sub-levels; it has a very evocative layout, but is suitable only for adults. Finally, a large hall has been created in the Silvia Mine, where a small stage has been built for evocative concerts (harp, djembe, and flute).
Open for visits by reservation all year round.
