Montevecchia & Parco Valle del Curone
Unusual hills and a valley that takes you to paradise
The Montevecchia and Valle del Curone Park, just a short distance from Lake Como, covers an area of approximately 2,740 hectares; it is not only a natural area, but also preserves historic villages, industrial establishments, agricultural areas, farms, and several monuments and architectural attractions of great value.
The Cascina Butto visitor center was created to allow visitors to discover the most interesting features of the Montevecchia and Valle del Curone Regional Park and observe some of the hidden sites that are usually not accessible to visitors.
Within the park, 11 trails wind through the woods, allowing visitors to reach the various towns that are part of it. This dense network of trails and mule tracks crosses chestnut woods and wild orchards, connecting the historic character of Brianza and its agricultural past to the modernity of the present day.
