Gyms and artificial walls for training and recreation around Lecco

Lake Como is a destination for athletes and mountain lovers; its peaks have been climbed by the greatest mountaineers in history, and numerous sports associations promoting these disciplines are present here.

The Comunità Montana Climbing Gym in Lecco, managed by the Ragni di Lecco, a true institution in the field, offers a bouldering area with marked circuits, a vertical or slightly overhanging climbing structure with routes up to 13 m and difficulties from 5c to 7a+, and another overhanging climbing structure with routes up to 18 m and difficulties from 6c to 8c.

Access is available in the afternoons, except on days when the area hosts sporting or cultural events. Rock climbing, sport climbing, and mountaineering courses are organized, managed by alpine guides, qualified national instructors, and groups.

In Colico, the local section of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) provides a bouldering room with vertical and overhanging walls, blocks, and circuits of varying difficulty suitable for everyone. It is also possible to practice with the assistance of expert climbers, as well as to approach this discipline by renting equipment on-site.
