5 things to do in Bellagio

The Pearl of Lake Como is a wonder to discover in all seasons

Bellagio, situated at the tip where Lake Como divides, is a jewel of natural significance, thanks to its unique geological formation. Luxury, elegance, and the Dolce Vita are timeless and tangible here: stately hotels, period villas, and English and Italian-style gardens. A blend of tranquility and unique charm imitated worldwide, but never equaled. Visit Bellagio and then look at the copies around the world: you can clone a building, a garden, an avenue... But the atmosphere of Lake Como is only on Lake Como!

In Bellagio on Lake Como, you can indulge in total relaxation or alternate between land and water excursions with pleasant aperitifs and strolls along the lakefront.

Gardens of Villa Melzi d’Eril
On the shores of the lake, Villa Melzi d’Eril was built for Duke Francesco Melzi d’Eril and remains private to this day. The garden is open to the public, adorned with tropical and exotic species, sculptures, a Moorish temple, a Japanese pond, and the orangery. Access to the park is permitted from March to the end of October.

Villa Serbelloni
Villa Serbelloni, not to be confused with the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni also in the town of Bellagio, is located in the upper part of the municipality. Currently owned by the Rockefeller Foundation, only the garden is accessible to the public on opening days via guided tour.
To discover the evocative garden and lose yourself in the maze of paths immersed in vegetation, the best choice is a peaceful walk to enjoy the breathtaking view of the point where Lake Como divides into two branches, where the rock of Bellagio resisted the force of the glacier that created this natural masterpiece. Tours, reserved for groups of at least 6 people, last about an hour and a half; visits take place from mid-March to early November.

Stroll along the lakefront and through the village
The village of Bellagio is a true gem for Instagram lovers; steps, colorful facades, smiling shopkeepers, and a whirlwind of scents that embrace you during a slow and pleasant late afternoon walk. Visiting Bellagio in winter is also surprisingly charming, when everything seems crystallized and its beauty immutable. The recently renovated promenade along the shores of Lake Como is spectacular, especially in spring, when the colors of the blooms frame the Pearl of Lake Como.

Kayak Excursion
You cannot only relax on vacation! In Bellagio, you can set off on fun kayak and SUP (Stand Up Paddle) excursions to discover the most evocative places directly from the water. Excursions for every level and endurance allow you to admire not only the beauty of the area but also how nature remains the undisputed master of this corner of paradise.

Relaxation at the Lido
The Lido di Bellagio is an oasis for tourists, offering services all day and all night. Relaxation, slides, whirlpools, entertainment, a restaurant, a bar... For a day of pampering in the sun on the shores of Lake Como. However, the face of the Lido changes as the sun sets: music, drinks, and fun to enliven the coast with lights, scents, and joy.
